The artist collective Freeters makes things. At the end of a complex process there is a result, an artifact. A chair with an umbrella canopy. A sofa made from a former telephone booth. A perspective-distorting uncertainty as a workspace. A renaissance painting with Superman. A series of poetic stagings from cloud cuckoo land. A workplace series: rude, fairy-tale-like, strange, calamitous, touching, serious, thought-provoking, prompting tears and laughter, inviting people to work, but differently.

Even if some admonishers currently fear a loss of importance of the sciences in society since the degree of social delusion and irrationality is increasing with the trend of current crises, there is rather little reason to worry that science could lose its role as a yardstick for rationality and truth. The paradigm of modernity holds unbroken that only what can be measured first and calculated second is true.

Anyone who deals with growth or development, and particularly with man-made developments, will come across this question sooner or later: Where do these ideas, brainwaves, and strokes of genius come from? Or: Under what circumstances do I have good ideas and when not? Is there fertile soil, conducive circumstances, or even a recipe for this?
As a start-up campus for Robert Bosch GmbH, grow is an institution that is often confronted with these questions. After all, a start-up campus is the place where entrepreneurs and engineers develop ideas, which in the best case do not even exist on the market yet. But firstly, there need to be ideas.
